Board of Directors

Africa Harvest Board of Directors is made up of a high caliber professional team with diverse expertise on governance and institutional management.

 

Chairman:  Kanayo Nwanze brings to Africa Harvest diverse expertise, having worked with the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CG).  He is the former director of the African Rice Centre and is currently the first Vice President of UN’s International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

 

Vice-Chairman: Joseph Kibe worked in various Kenyan government ministries and departments.  He was Permanent Secretary in various ministries, including Finance and Agriculture & Animal Husbandry.  He is the Chairman of Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE)-listed British Overseas Oxygen (BOC) and also seats on the Boards of non-profit organizations, including the British based Gatsby Kenya.

 

Chief Executive officer of Africa Harvest: Florence Wambugu has, over the last decade, provided leadership in public/private partnership and scientific consortiums for the implementation of major projects.  The success of these projects will have significant impact on the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in rural communities.

 

Andrew Fish (USA) is a senior Director, Federal Government Relations at the American Cancer Society
David Farber works for Patton Boggs LLP in Washington DC, USA.

 

Caroline Kovac (USA) is the former General Manager IBM Healthcare and Life Sciences now the Managing Director of Burrill & Company, a venture capital company

 

Mary Mackey (Canada) works with Alton Mackey and Associates Health and Nutrition Consultants, she has also worked in Africa in various capacities.

 

Gisèle d’Almeida (Senegal) is an entrepreneur from the private sector. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Interface.

 

Prudence Ndlovu (South Africa) is the Executive Director, Eagle People and Organization Development (EPOD).  She is an expert in human resource management
