AH Board Boosts Of High Caliber Professionals

Africa Harvest Board of Directors has a high caliber professional team with diverse expertise on governance and management of institutions.

The Board led by the chairman Kanayo Nwanze brings to Africa Harvest diverse expertise in work related experience and geographical diversity. Dr Nwanze is the former director of Warda and currently the first Vice president of UN’s International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

The Vice Chaiman, Joseph Kibe is the former Permanent Secretary in the ministry of Agriculture and animal Husbandry. Mr Kibe also seat on various boards in Kenya including British based Gatsby Kenya.

Florence Wambugu is the Chief Executive officer of Africa Harvest. Over the last ten years, Dr. Wambugu has successfully provided leadership in public/private partnership and scientific consortium for implementation of various major projects for crops and tree improvement, with significant impact on the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in rural communities.

Other board members come from different backgrounds including lawyers, government officials, and others work in the private sector.

Andrew Fish (USA) is a senior Director, Federal Government Relations, American Cancer Society, David Farber works for Patton Boggs LLP in Washington DC, USA. Caroline Kovac is the former General Manager IBM Healthcare and Life Sciences now working with venture in the United States. Mary Mackey (Canada) works with Alton Mackey and Associates Health and Nutrition Consultants, she has also worked in Africa in various capacities. Gisèle d’Almeida (Senegal) is an entrepreneur from the private sector. She is the director of Interface.

Prudence Ndlovu (South Africa) is the Executive Director, Eagle People and Organisation Development (EPOD). She is an expert in human resource management which she brings to the organisation.
